Pyinkado
Botanical Name: Xylia kerrii
General Characteristics: Pyinkado Heartwood reddish brown with darker streaks, often locally specked with dark gummy exudations; sapwood pale reddish white. Grain straight, interlocked, or frequently wavy; texture moderately fine; without luster; without characteristic odor or taste.
Working Properties: Blunting of cutters is severe, particularly when dry; can be worked to a smooth finish.
Uses: Heavy durable construction, flooring, railway crossties, harbor work.
